A healthy ageing consult looks at your health as it is now. Your practitioner asks about your history, your family's history, sleep, movement and stress. Then they explain what's worth doing next.

What is a healthy ageing consultation?

It's a live appointment with an Australian-registered practitioner about staying well as you get older. You talk through your health, habits and family history. Your practitioner then explains your options, which may include lifestyle advice, tests, a referral or no treatment.

Your history first.

Your health history, your family's history and the medicines you take now.

One conversation.

Sleep, movement, food and stress, all talked through with your practitioner.

Treatment only if appropriate.

Your practitioner may suggest new habits, tests or a referral instead.

What your practitioner looks at.

How it works

Every step runs through your practitioner.

  1. Tell us everything you'd like to work on. Then choose a time for a live consultation with your practitioner.

  2. Your practitioner asks about your history, how you train and what you take now. Then they explain your options, which may include advice, tests, a referral or no treatment.

  3. If your practitioner decides treatment is right for you, they explain the next steps and the costs before anything starts. Your plan sits in your patient account.

  4. Your practitioner checks in to see how you're going. They answer your questions and change the plan if it needs changing.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers here. The full FAQ page has more, and your practitioner can go through anything else.

What is healthy ageing?

The World Health Organization describes healthy ageing as keeping the ability to do what you value in older age. Your consult looks at what that means for you.

Do I need to be unwell to book?

No. You can book while you feel well and talk through where your health is now with your practitioner.

Will I be prescribed anything?

Only if your practitioner decides it's clinically appropriate. A consult may end with advice on sleep, movement or food, more tests, a referral or no treatment.

Are blood tests part of it?

Only if your practitioner thinks blood tests would help. If they do, they explain why and go through what they show.

How often are check-ins?

It depends on your plan. Your practitioner sets a schedule with you and changes it as you go.

What does it cost?

You'll see the consultation fee before you book. If treatment is discussed, your practitioner explains those costs before anything starts.
